sick songs of imperfection ❥ ͜𓐇˚ִִ𓈒꒱

sick songs of imperfection ❥ ͜𓐇˚ִִ𓈒꒱ reflect some of my ongoing questions & thoughts about music making, poetry making, creating as such & improvising.

at the beginning they asked me these questions: how would you make songs if you had only one try & only a phone to record that? how do you make songs if your body is “not ready”, not in its “best & ready state”, when it´ s sick and tired? can you still create in all the fullness of the present moment in such state? how would you make songs if you had to improvise it in this one moment? all the songs are immediate explorations of these questions.

living in the times when the AI world is becoming inscreasingly the “normal” & “perfection” is becoming increasingly a total part of creativity, because the “non-human perfection” has become so accessible to humans, these songs were inspired by the very opposite of that. plain imperfection. human flaws. loud breathing. squeezed sound. sick voice. random poetry. out of tune instrument. clumsy language.

sick songs of imperfection ❥ ͜𓐇˚ִִ𓈒꒱ are my ode to all what is human, experienced, walked, cried, doubted, failed, persisted, hoped, enjoyed, expressed & loved. while making them, they allowed me a tremendous pleasure of the present moment (while my body was struggling with illness so its physical state was altered in comparison to its “healthy” one), preparation immediate and far from “perfect pre-preparation”, and recording in my room one song a day while pondering all of these feelings & thoughts. hope you can enjoy some of them too!
